Kevin Rudd and the global warming conspiracy.
Early this month Kevin Rudd screamed insanely about a global conspiracy involving climate change sceptics.
Certainly its breathtaking arrogance and conviction of absolute certitude, its “naming and shaming” attack on political opponents and commentators, and its relentless dot-point repetition and stylistic vapidity, are worrying enough. However, its depiction of a giant global conspiracy of climate change deniers and skeptics reveals something more, a disturbed mental state first identified in 1965 by the great American historian Richard Hofstadter in his essay on “The Paranoid Style in American Politics”.

There really was something desperate about his rantings. The kind of behaviour you might expect to see from someone who is watching his chance to shine in the international spotlight slip slowly but surely through his creepy fingers.
Poor Kev he’s maneouvered himself into an unwinable position. The manmade global warming theory is beginning to unravel and he’s the gullible idiot who not only savaged anyone who questioned it’s existence but was willing to throw billions of Australian dollars at it to save the planet.
How angry will Kev be when he finds out that 30,000 scientists have signed up to sue Al Gore.
30,000 scientists have signed up to sue Al Gore.
And as if that’s not enough to turn Kev beetroot red with rage look what else has been going on.
Data that has been hacked from the Hadley Centre’s Climatic Research Unit at East Anglia University – one of the principal academic centres behind anthropogenic global warming theory – appears to reveal an international conspiracy of scientific experts to distort, falsify or suppress evidence in order to exaggerate man-made global warming, and also to vilify AGW sceptics in order to rubbish and bury their own evidence.
It appears Kev was right about a conspiracy. It’s just that he’s on the same side as the bad guys. How embarrassing for him. Isn’t it lucky everyone’s not as gullible as weird Kev?
