Bono’s building
Poor limousine liberal hypocrite Bono, the guy who claims to be soooo worried about global warming and poverty, but then turns around and pays $1700 to have his hat flown first class. It turns out the plans he had to build a 32 storey building in Dublin called U2 towers, have been put on hold due to the downturn in the economy.
Just as well though because global warming believer Bono could have found that the only way to reach his beautiful U2 towers was by boat.
Claims have been made that the building which was to be built at the mouth of Dublin bay, has had no proper environmental impact study carried out and no provision has been made for the impact of rising sea levels.
Plans to build Ireland’s tallest building, a $250 million Dublin skyscraper that would include a recording studio for the band U2, have been put on hold, The Associated Press reported. The Dublin Docklands Development Authority said Friday that it was still committed to the U2 Tower by the River Liffey but that for now it had suspended negotiations with possible developers because of the grim economic environment. The building, designed by the British architect Norman Foster, is to include luxury apartments and, at the top, a suspended pod that will house the recording studio.
